Eddie Hall and Hafthor ‘Thor’ Bjornsson will finally battle it out in the boxing ring in their rescheduled heavyweight fight in Dubai tonight.
The two former World’s Strongest Man winners were originally set to fight back in September 2021, before Hall pulled out with a bicep injury. Both fighters have cut their weight drastically ahead of what’s being labelled the ‘heaviest boxing match in history’.
Hall admitted prior to the fight that he believes Thor has lost too much weight, with the Games of Thrones actor losing 55kg in two years. Bjornsson has prepared by fighting in a number of exhibition boxing bouts, whilst Hall chose to train with current world champion boxers such as Lawrence Okolie.

Eddie Hall vs Hafthor ‘Thor’ Bjornsson will take place at the Dubai Duty Free Stadium tonight, Saturday, March 19, and is expected to get underway at 9pm GMT. Hall vs Thor will be available to watch for free with SEGI.TV holding the rights to the action.

The grudge match will last six, two minute rounds, with both fighters wearing heavier 12oz gloves as apposed to the usual 10oz gloves for heavyweight bouts. Judges will attend ringside and knockouts are permitted.
